Don't laugh so much - I happened to be ON vacation when I bought my first chicks! It was a wrench to go back to work when they were two weeks old....

As for the rest of you I would expected more from you ladies my word do you all not know how to do chores and enjoy the little one's?
Well here is the way it is done you will need an egg timer to be set after each chore is done you may view the little ones for 1 hour set timer for 1 hour it goes off you move on to the next thing on the list (for break times you may set the timer for 1 hour and a half.)

1. When you get up first thing in the morning while the coffee is brewing do your kitchen chores.
2. While drinking your coffee watch the little one's
3. Feed and water little one's now feed and water yourself
4. Do chores in what ever room the little one's are in (you can watch them while you clean and this does not count as your alloted time)
5. Take dinner out and prepare what ever sides need to be fixed
6. Lunch time enjoy a sandwich while watching the little one's any scraps of bread feed to them as a treat.
7. Do chores in what ever room you have left.
8. Break time while waiting for children to arrive home from school (If no children then Husband/Wife to arrive home from work)
9. Get dinner started Heat up sides if need be
10.Kitchen chores in the morning so free time to spend with husband or wife watching little one's
11. Tuck in chickens and go to bed to start all over again the next day.

As for the outside chickens well your own your own there I try to do things around the yard that invole the chickens coop/run so I can watch them while I do things in the yard.....

we are all addicted to the little one's and then the big ones.
