Thanks for the suggestions. All those pictures of the coon were taken in complete darkness. I don't keep a light in the coop. The $50 Tasco 3MP game camera I got at Walmart has a flash on it, they sell them in the hunting area if anyone else wants one. They also have a $45 1.3MP camera that I tried at first but it didn't work right so I returned it and got the Tasco. Much better.
The Tasco camera would take a picture every 30 seconds or so when it sensed movement. I wish it could recharge the flash quicker then that but that is a limitation of it. I pointed it away from the chicken roost so I wouldn't just get a bunch of pictures of the chickens. This was my first time with a hunting camera, but I thought it was neat to find where the critter was getting in. The Hav-a-Hart trap has been baited with Peanut Butter but they always reach in and get it without getting trapped. Time to try the Hav-a-Gun method instead I think. I'm not sure how the coon got back out after the chicken got stuffed in the hole. Maybe there are more holes in the wire then I know of. I'm going to try Hardware cloth this time instead of the old chicken wire. That place will be more secure then the gold at Fort Knox when I'm done with it.
