My husband will surely take my new computer away

Got a new Dell last week...whoo-hoo! (Didn't have a home computer for like 3 years). I am officially addicted to byc now. I told hubby I'd come to bed like an hour and a half ago. Can't....pull...myself..away!! My contacts are all dried and stuck to my eyes even.

He keeps changing the title on my favorites quick tab for byc. Today it says "eggscomefromchickenbutts". Yesterday was "gotnoluvfortharoosta".

I can see where this is going!

WeLoCoMe to My WoRlD, insanity at 0100 and would just love to sit hear bleary-eyed and read post after post of my "research". Dear DH, how do you expect me to take good care of the creatures that feed us our breakfast and an occasional Sunday dinner, IF I don't know what I am doing. Aslo, Mrs. Hen was not up to par, I must "research" what could possibly be wrong, we don't want the whole $132,456.75 worth of birds to get sick and die, do we? What if it could be contagious? I must keep on reading about that for sure. Also, I made a new Alaskan friend, and I know you love AK, did you know they raise poultry there too?" SEE, you can now think of many valid reasons to wile.........wispered waste.......time on here! It is just so nice to be surrounded by folks that think a lot like you do. Wanting to live a simpler life, seeing poultry as pets as well as food, supporters and potiential friends in the future. At my work, if I talk chicken, I get the "look" and about 2 of 89 people actually know or even care where their food comes from................don't get me started there.

My laptop will be coming with me on vacation.........NOT to keep up with work, but to keep up with BYC!!!!!

This thread has really hit home with me. I ask myself:
Why are these chickens so fascinating to me?
Why do I spend too much time on BYC?
Why do I think people would even want a tour of the chicken coop?
Why do I think people want to even hear anything about "the girls".
I think I must simply be nuts or wierd or something. I'm just glad I'm not the only one!

I also took my laptop on vacation! I told DH it was so I could keep an eye on our finances! Yea, sure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I couldn't sleep last night. Literally. My 9 year old son and 3 year old daughter were snuggled in bed with me, like every night, two cats curled up at our feet, and I couldn't sleep. I kept thinking... I have so much more to learn! So down stairs to the laptop I crept and onto backyard chickens I sat for a while, until my eyes started watering. lol I have so much more to learn, and so much more work to do on my coop to get it ready for winter. I feel like I can't sleep until I have all the knowledge in my head that I need. I am SO there with you.
