Supplies
1 - plastic pot base
4 - bricks
1 - rubber mulch tree ring
1 - poultry waterer

On the very bottom is the plastic pot base

Then place the 4 bricks inside the plastic pot base

Next comes the rubber mulch tree ring on top of the bricks and plastic pot base

And finally the poultry waterer on top of that!

The way ours is set up the bricks are slightly lower than the rim of the pot base so that the rubber mulch ring is angled down towards the waterer a bit so that if the water doesnt soak through right away it will run towards the center.

This is quite large and would not work well for a small brooder. However, Home Depot and other stores with a garden center sell the same type of rubber mulch that comes in strips that could possibly be cut to make a smaller version.

Looks good, ducks are so messy.

How do you like that waterer?

I am ordering that waterer through DH's workplace, are they better than the 1 gal no handle kind?
