Are you talking about the hygrometer? If so, you take a 1/4 c salt, 1/2 c water stir it up a bit (salt wont dissolve), put your hygrometer and salt water in a ziploc bag (put the salt in a dish in the ziploc) make sure the hygrometer doesn't come in contact with the salt water. Leave it in the bag for 8-12 hours. After that time, read your hygrometer while it's still in the bag, it should read 75%. If it doesn't read 75%, then you will have an idea at least as to how much it is off.now how would i know if it is off,what do i gauge it to
