Hello all. My wife said she wanted chickens last year some time. After much research, we got 5. I made a brooder out of a big cardboard box. I used those store bought feeders and waterers. That was alot of work. Those little girls would poop their water and throw more food out of their feeder than they ate! Then they started pecking holes in the cardboard. I had a coop in mind, but started it a bit late. They were done with the box, so we had to move them to a big dog crate in the garage for a couple weeks. After all of that, I just can't imagine not having chickens. They are all so much fun to watch and learn about. We've got 2 Barred Rocks, 1 Rhode Island Red, 1 Delaware, and 1 Light Brahma. They are all great and spoiled rotten!

@dai2dao996 - We are so happy to have you here at BYC and can't wait to hear more about your flock and maybe even see some photos of them. Aren't you glad you got those chickens now? :D
