About to embark on my first time raising my own chickens. My grandma always had chickens, and I’ve always wanted some of my own. I get lost in looking at all the great ideas on this website, and look forward to building my own coop.

Hello and welcome to the place of chicken wisdom. Chickens are so great! I never imagined they would be such great pets along with bonus eggs! Have you decided on the breeds your going for. ?
Please check out the info on coops and make sure it's big enough for full grown hens. Prefab coop claims for #of hens are notoriously FALSE! Always go for bigger than needed. Much happier flocks. Anyway have fun with plans, we built ours last year ( plans changed 3 times)
