(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I’ve been living on a farm in Hawaii since I was little, though the breeds of chickens were mostly feral chickens that roamed around the farms, I’ve began to raise a couple of real breeds such as silkies, sultans, bard rock, Rhode Island Reds, OEGB, polish.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
24
(3) What breeds do you have?
2 Silkies, 2 Sultans, 1 Polish, 1 Bard Rock, 1 Rhode Island Red, 1 OEGB and the rest are feral Hawaiian Chickens
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I enjoy watching and observing them grow and collecting eggs and knowing where your food comes from
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I enjoy playing instruments and spending time with friends and family
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I live with my father and mother and my two younger brothers, on the farm we own pigs 1 tortoise a dog and cat. I am a junior in high school. And I love to care for animals
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
After looking through google for a place for good answers for my chicken questions.
