Hello everyone! I will introduce myself now that I have finished my first post asking for help

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
We rescued six 3 months old hens from a battery in January 2020, so we have been keeping hens for 20 months now. They are laying hybrids.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
Six but probably five in a few days :-(.
Caramel, nougat, cannelle, brune, blanche and our very sick little favourite vanille.
(3) What breeds do you have?
French hybrid
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
We got them for eggs but have become very attached to them as they are funny and cute. I love seeing them free ranging outside.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Growing our vegetables and running in the mountains
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
We are city folks gone back to the mountains two years ago in an old family house. Not always easy but so happy and so lucky!
