My Jersey Giant rooster SAVED MY R.I.R PULLET!!!!

once my JG rooster saved my slow RIR Pullet from a raccoon. All i heard was a very long crow so i look out side and he was running in to the field and then i saw a raccoon and my RIR hen running and flapping her way to the coop so i ran out there to save her but my rooster beat me to it when the raccoon saw a giant chicken running towards him he arched his back and my rooster kicked him with a lot force the raccoon went to the ground and ran off. i got him for meat...but now hes the hens protector!!!!
