My Jersey Giant

    This is Slate. I think he is going to be blue. What do you think? He is from Maria's Jersey Giants, whos birds are from the Golda Miller line. Excellent birds. What do we think of him? He hatched on 1/1/09 and is significantly bigger than his "sister" who hatched the same time as him.

    I would agree with your guess on his coloring, though I don't know the breed well.
    I ordered a jersey giant and a cochin when I got my chicks as a favor to another BYCer. I only had her chicks two days, but I was impressed with what a sweet and mischievious little booger that JG was.

    They look just like mine. I have already hatched 2 sets from Maria Hall. On my lat hatch, I 100% hatch and she is great to deal with.
