My K Dale eggs hatch tomorrow, trash truck ripped out power

My K Dale eggs are supposed to hatch tomorrow, they have pips. However the garbage truck just ripped the power cord off my house! Luckily I have them connected to a UPS, but they only have 3 hours of backup power. The police made us leave the house because the live wire is down on the lawn, I’m hoping the power company gets here soon so I can at least go in and get the incubators and move them to a neighbors house. Or I might run an extension into the house for them.

My husband came home and it smells like maybe an electrical fire in the basement! We took all our photos and documents and put them in the car. Still waiting for the electric company.

Yeah it tore from the house, so we are the only ones affected, luckily. The truck caught a low hanging cable line and pulled, and somehow that pulled the main lines and ripped mine off.

I can’t even write strongly enough how grateful I am to have put my incubators on the UPS. The power is back, and I have an early bird! The incubator never stopped, other than the UPS warning beeps, the eggs were not disturbed in any way by this crazy nonsense.

So far 2 surge protectors are fried, the Xbox was in one of the surge protectors and it won’t turn on now, so I have to borrow a cord from someone to see if it’s the device or the power cord/box thing. All our stuff runs thru the Xbox so I don’t even know how to watch tv lol. Luckily the tv and 3D printer were also plugged in there, and both are ok. The Nintendo seems fine also. Despite the police telling me to go right outside, I sent the kids and dogs out and I ran around and unplugged all the computers, and they all seem fine too. The incubators were spared because they were on a backup, and the backup UPS is fine too. Something smells mildly like electrical fire downstairs, but I can’t find the culprit, the washer/dryer and their surge strips are fine, as well as the furnace and hot water heater. We aren’t going out anywhere tonight so we will be here if a problem pops up.
