Welcome to BYC! [IMG]We're glad to have you.

I'm sorry about your kitten! Can you take him/her to a vet? This website is mostly about chickens, so you may not find many people with the veterinary knowledge needed to treat your kitten.

I 2nd a trip to the vet, kinda surprised that a shelter would let you take a sick kitten, is it eating and drinking?

Edit to add, use a wash cloth and warm water to wipe kitty's eyes

I'm sorry about your kitten. [IMG] Like Wyandottes7 said, you probably won't find much help on a poultry forum. It would be best if you could take it to a vet, or at least get some veterinary advice.

I think the best place to find any possible help on BYC is in the Other Pets and Livestock section: Other Pets & Livestock

    Good luck!

Did you tell the shelter people what is going on with him.? Some shelters have vet care at lower prices. Or even allow so many days to have the pet seen by a vet & can be returned if ill.
