Hi there neighbor! I'm from the Urbana/Springfield/Mechanicsburg area - just a hop, skip and jump from you! I'm still new to having chickens. We just started our flock in May, so this will be our first winter. I'm having SO much fun! Never dreamed I would fall in love with birds!

We have 7 Australorps (6 hens, 1 roo) and 12 Buff Orpington hens. We also have 6 Peking ducks (3 girls) and 12 Khaki Campbells (7 girls). Will prob have to cull some of the boys soon. Not looking forward to that.

I've learned so much from the folks on BYC. So glad you have joined us. Enjoy your new flock!
