My ladies have arrived

well finally my ladies arrived yesterday. Moved into their chicken estate my husband built. I’ll post picks later lol. They are 19 weeks old and nervous so I look a bit silly but having my coffee sitting in the run so they are peeking out at me. Just want them used to us and realize we are here for them. Nosey little things. Any advise is welcome.

Hello and welcome to the flock about all things chicken. Talk to your girls when coming to the coop and have a little handful of treats such as meal worms. Let them see you place them on the ground or what ever you feed them. They will see you as the bringer of good tasty things.

It really helps to talk to them to cure their skittishness, if I tend to my birds silently I can feel that they are more nervous because they have a harder time figuring out my intentions, but if I talk to them gently they visibly relax and pay attention to what I'm saying.
