Not all turkey hens lay at the same rate and they don't necessarily continue laying at the same rate for the whole season.

Some of my hens lay two days in a row before taking a day off. Some lay every other day. Some lay as many as 4 days in a row.

Thank you for your reply They have been laying eggs since beginning of December there has only been a few times since then that there hasn't been a new egg everyday. Just fri I took out 20eggs an left them 4 an ice gotten 2 new ones since then. I just want to make sure that's OK for them to be laying so many.

I don't set the first week of eggs because they have had a lower hatch rate. I use them as bait eggs so they lay in the same spot.

Where are you located and are you providing them with supplemental light?

I do not provide supplemental light and my turkeys won't start laying here until the middle of next month.

I am in Pennsylvania an they have a heat lamp.

I wasn't sure because they aren't adults yet well idk at what age they are considered adults but they are about 7months old they have a coop thts all enclosed except for the door the heat lamp is the red light kind. so you think they will stay warm enough?

You can consider turkeys adults when they are 6 months old.

I wouldn't just shut the heat lamp off as they are conditioned to it and it has interfered in them adjusting to the cold temperatures.

My turkeys see temperatures as low as -30°F without any problem. They roost outside in an area that is protected from the prevailing wind. They do fine.
