Howdy, Team!! Colds and chicken pox and shingles.....I think I'll come back another day, thanks!! So, anyone know if folks with compromised immune systems should (or can) get the shingles vaccine?

I would think not, but garlic would be good!

GD and I peeled and washed a lot of the smaller cloves this afternoon. I now have 2.5 pints of cloves in the freezer. What a joy it will be to be able to grab a few cloves any time I want, without all of the prep and mess involved!!

That's a great idea. Think I'll prep a bunch this weekend, too. Do you just pop them into plastic bags when peeled?

A famous friend of ours once said, "I really haven't wanted to post this, but denial can only take you so far......." So I'll just spit it out.

I got mixed results from my lumpectomy. There was cancer there, but it was tiny and it's all out. (Clean margins) So I'm not sure if I should say I have cancer or I had cancer, considering it was removed before I even knew it was there. But I'll probably still need some follow-up, maybe a sentinel node biopsy, maybe a course of radiation depending on what my MRI shows on Monday.

Surgeon was really happy with how small it was and how it was totally removed, but I'm not sure I'm as happy with the news as she was.

Just thought I'd let you guys know that I have one more thing in common with some of you.

Friday, better 'out than in'. That refers to both the nodule and the information. Our shoulders are broad enough to help bear the worry. Prognosis seems good, and now it is time to develop and go with a treatment plan.
