My leukemia's back.

Finally going in for an MRI. I've been having problems with my equilibrium .. constantly.. every day now, since last Nov. It's awful not being able to walk straight, to fall often, to grab onto things that you shouldn't because they can break. I finally went to using a cane. Long story sgort.. i think. Started yrs ago. Longest it would last would be 2 weeks. Drs. Yes. No answers. ENT, sends me for therapy. Doesn't work. My dr. Lately says, I really think it's miniers..spelling....anyway, back to my ENT. Yrs later. He did check me for the crystal thing yep, had that problem. Did his truck to fix it, left ear. Says, I really don't think this is the problem though. He was right. I always say I feel woozy, not..dizzy.. the room is not spinning. I can't bend my head down or way back without having to hold onto something. I have a sister that is 5 yrs younger than i am having mini strokes. She says this is how she feels when they happen. Only thing is, I feel like this every day. Not thinking it's that. Not sure what it is, but would like some things ruled out at least. Had spine surgery on my neck yrs ago, hoping all is well there. Guess I'll see. They say if all looks good on the MRI, they will send me back to the Neuro. So tired if this! I have naturally been on the net. C..Malformation had most of my symptoms. But, not even my son with Spina bifida has that. Prayers, that I get some answers soon.

HB, congrats on all the good stuff with your household. Yes, sweet that your sweet DD can now volunteer. It's great to see these kids being mainstreamed, and allowed and encouraged to live up to their potential. Congrats on new license, and running cars! Our cars are ancient. Our best has 220K miles on it now. It's just getting broken in, we say!

Phil, how sweet that you and DW could share glasses with folks so they could enjoy the sky display. I did the pin dot here, and saw a cheshire cat smile. It was nice to see, but rather anticlimactic. Glad you are breathing better.

Cynthia, I do hope the MRI reveals something that can be treated to deal with your vertigo. I had a couple of weeks of that this spring. Almost did a face plant in the grow out coop. Not a good place to fall down, for sure. Little cannibals would have had my eyes first. Glad you are using a cane. That will help some.

The company that I worked with had an alliance with a school for physically/mentally challenged kids allowing them to mainstream as a training experience. I worked with several of these kids over a period of years. One year they sent me a visually impaired, neurologically impaired, semi dwarf, fetal alcohol kid. When I met 'V' I was like, "What the holy H can this kid do?" I had worked with the school employee who accompanied him before, and I voiced these concerns to her. She replied, "You haven't ever worked with a kid like 'V'."

Long story short, I managed to get his temp position extended another 6 months. Then had to bypass my department manager and go to a company VP to get him permanently hired. He moved from his home to a group home and from that to his own home and got married. Given the opportunity growth is unlimited for some of these kids. Temple Grandin is a prime example.
