My leukemia's back.

I think she is doing a lot of running around, that's what I gather from her posts
But she hasn't posted in awhile so maybe we should beckon her over

Oh @Blooie come and visit!!

Geepers, you don't have to yell at me...I'm right here!! Actually between traveling, a few health bumps (NOTHING serious, I promise) and a mighty tough decision we had to make, all is perfectly normal around here. Well, if you don't count Wyoming's population temporarily expanding by a million people during the eclipse anyway.

Looks like we have the same wonderful and frustrating mix of health issues, ups, downs, achievements and setbacks. So of course I send my prayers to those in the waiting room who are facing problems. You've been getting them all along, even if I wasn't on to tell you! Kids working, driving themselves to college - you guys have been BUSY!

I didn't get eclipse glasses - actually didn't think to pick any up and when I finally realized that it was too late. But we ended up glad that we didn't, because like the rest of the country we'd have been looking up, instead of down where the real show was. The shadows and hundreds of mini-eclipses on the ground were fascinating. I have to say, for this sparsely populated state to see a one-time infux of over a million people, the state is none the worse for wear. People for the most part were respectful, kind to each other, and didn't leave tons of litter behind. It was wonderful and we were glad to have them - oh, and to relieve them of a few dollars that we desperately needed to replace the coal, gas and oil revenue we've lost with the shutdowns.....but that's political and I ain't going there any further than I have.

Miss you all, gonna try to catch up and then keep up! :love

Hi, Alaska! It was raining so doggone hard we didn't go into Juneau proper. Katie and I took the tour shuttle to the all you can eat salmon barbeque and had a wonderful time, although she was hard pressed to get her marshmallows roasted for S'mores! There was a covered eating area with those patio heaters and we loved it. I don't know that I've seen the church you mention in our previous cruises, either....can you give me some more information?

there is a little Orthodox church there in Juneau, built in 1893 (super old for Alaska ).

They have a tiny bookstore and a tiny church, it is round....well, 8 sided with a little mud porch at the entrace.

Anyway, my eldest son worked there all summer as tour guide.

I was wanting to know how he was doing.

He is back home now...this is his first week of college.
