My leukemia's back.

Friday, is this like radiation "seeding"? I'm glad you have this option available to you.
Yes, similar. I'll have a catheter made up of several hollow tubes inserted into the area where the tumor was. They expand the end of the catheter like a basket, and insert a radioactive seed on a wire into each tube for just a few minutes, then pull it back out. Twice a day, for 5 days of treatment. Radiation stays in a 2 to 2.5 cm area around the tumor bed.

oh...just finished reading... 5 days total?

Or are there start up, and ending watch ya days?

9/11 Monday- consult with MD, Tuesday- catheter placement. Thursday/Friday treatment, Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday treatment, pull the catheter and drive home.

So some "hurry up and wait" days sprinkled in there. It will give me time to catch up on work.

can you do a fun something on the weekend? Or do you think you will be feeling too bad?

Big city must have fun stuff... roller derby (but that season is in the winter time up here), or theater, or maybe a fancy spa treatment.

Spouse once forced me to do a spa thing. ... I really enjoy a good hot massage for the arthritis.
