My leukemia's back.

Most people have no idea where the Upper Peninsula is.
On the way from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario to Wisconsin!! Best gas price is (well at least was, don't go that way since DD2 graduated) in Menominee.

I thought Vermont was famed for colored leaves and maple syrup. Sugar is good.
Indeed. Only Quebec makes more maple syrup than Vermont (Like almost 10 times as much). Vermont is also known for skiing.

What I lack in stature, I make up in shoe size! I don't understand it. My sister, who is about 4" taller has the tiniest little feet. She inherited them from my grandmother. I tease sis about her feet. I honestly don't know how she keeps her balance on such tiny little feet. And she runs marathons! Me, my feet are not so tiny. As the old lady at the shoe store says: I wear a size 6. But size 7 is only a little bit tight, and size 8.5 is much more comfortable.

Speaking of shoes: Here in Maine, it's easy to tell if a farmer is an introvert or an extrovert. When the introvert talks to you, he stares at his shoes. When the extrovert talks to you, he stares at your shoes.

DD1's feet haven't grown since she was in 4th grade, I think she is a 3. Good thing she didn't get as tall as she "should" have based on DW's height (5.6") and mine (6'2" when DD1 was born, only 6'1" now). It is a problem though, she had to buy winter boots in the kid section. Fortunately at 24 she is still interested in (fake) furry cuffs and such. Going to be a bigger problem later in life.
