up here we string them super early, so that we can find the front door. Well....I don't. ...... but lots of other people do.

Curious, I just looked at the sunrise/set times for Nome. Nome's sunset is 20 minutes later than here but sunrise is a whopping 4 hours later.

I would have guessed a more even difference
 
Dh has started with the Christmas decorations too. I keep fussing that he shouldn't put them up until AFTER Thanksgiving. He doesn't pay any attention to what I'm saying, and keeps putting them up anyway. They are pretty though. Today I will be putting the final touches on my house cleaning, and I will be cooking all the things that can be made ahead of time for our Thanksgiving dinner.
