My leukemia's back.

Oh no you're not. You're looking at your graphs and comparing the output this week with the output the same week a year ago.

And, we all know that after Dec 21, the next most important day is Feb. 2. And we all KNOW how important that day is to you, Bruce! Are you ready for the squeal pig???
Well that is true, with respect to the solar panels. As you can see, it is somewhat variable. Can't really compare Dec 2015 since the installation wasn't complete until late on the 8th. All that "non production" this spring and summer tell you just how cloudy (and rainy) it was compared to last year.

I think "Phil" is wrong more than he is right. And up this way it doesn't matter if he sees his shadow or himself in a mirror or doesn't wake up at all. Spring will NOT come early. Feb 2nd is pretty much during the coldest week of the year. But my chickens do react to the increasing daylight. They have historically started laying again toward the end of February, a month before we have 12 hours of daylight. That is the part about "needing" 14 hours of light to lay in the winter that confuses me.

Ok, ok...I'll go along with you ;)
(But realistically, it's going to be a cold, windy, snowy "spring" here in Wyoming, at least until April :gig)
Same here!

I'll bite...what happens Feb. 2nd?

Seriously???? How can you not be waiting with much anticipation for such an important date?

And the rodent is more adept at predicting weather than a biped meteorologist. Where else can you be wrong at least 1/2 of the time, and still keep your job? Perhaps that's what I'll be when I grow up.

BTW, I have it on good authority that Bruce really likes ground hogs. He's been known to carry them all over the place, taking them for scenic walks on his property.

I like to say that spring comes early here in the north—it just has significantly more snow than spring elsewhere. :D

If PP sees his shadow, we're guaranteed at least 6 more weeks of winter. If PP does not see his shadow, we're guaranteed at least a month and a half of winter.

:lau All too true.

Well that part is true. Though the trap is covered for the ones that get the long scenic walk so they don't get to appreciate the woods all that much. All told, more have gotten the shorter trip to the woods at the edge of the NW pasture. That trek from the north side of the barn is not visible from the house. That is an important feature here.
