My leukemia's back.

Ok, now I'm drooling for maple syrup. Someone could offer to send me some. I'd be glad to reimburse the costs involved. It's very hard to get real maple syrup here in Florida.

We always order our online from a place in Vermont. Kind of expensive but worth it!

I had to choose between hardware cloth, and welded wire when we built the coop. Couldn't afford both. Since then, I've put 1/2" hardware cloth half way up each of the coops, and runs. As money permits, I will finish out the entire coop with it. I am debating whether to dig down 2 feet, around the outside coop, and put in metal sheets of roofing, instead of hardware cloth.

That would likely keep the rats from coming up under the floor. I have one that has tunneled under the coop (converted horse stall with dirt floor). It keeps opening a hole from there into the barn alley. I have a piece of 1/2" HC poultry stapled to the wall and skirted out and a piece in front of the door but there is a small gap between them and the rat has found it. It can't get in the coop at night though, I pulled the horse mats and installed 1/2" hardware cloth then put the mats back down 5 years ago when we saw a stoat up by the house. Given I knew mice were coming up between the mats, I couldn't chance a stoat doing the same thing. The mice won't bother a chicken bit a stoat sure can.

Shipping is a bear.

16" bar, use it just like a regular gas saw. Light and easy to use. Main draw back is you need a long cord.

No way would I consider using a chain saw attached to a power cord. Serious safety issue if you're cutting down a heavy tree IMO. As for the battery operated ones, I can't imagine they'd have enough power to do what I would want to do.

Seems like a lot of products geared toward woman are of shoddy quality but, they are PINK so you know they're made for women, they usually cost more too. LLB Bean does that with women's outerwear etc.especially, as does some of Lands End. When possible I buy the men's version and get extra details for the $$$.

If I bought pink tools, the next thing I know, I'd probably be painting my nails to match, and maybe just might put on some lipstick before going out to cut down a few trees. And, if I got all gussied up so my outfit would match my tools, perhaps I just might need to wipe the chicken poo off my boots. Nah... THAT AIN'T EVER GONNA HAPPEN!!!

Step away from that grouse ma'am we will need that for evidence......

NFC, link?

For the maple syrup?

We got ours from a place called Mount Mansfield Maple Products.

We bought several of the half gallon jugs to give out for Christmas and kept a couple for ourselves :D

I also bought the pure maple candy shaped like maple leaves for my mom & SIL and they raved over it (somehow they never got around to letting me taste it, lol).

If you do a Bing search for Vermont maple syrup for sale, you'll get back several places to check out. Can't remember what made me chose this one over others, but we've been very satisfied with them.

My friend and used to be co-worker Bob thanks you :D He's on the right in the first "people picture". His "bio" is farther down.

Of course they can't tell all there is about him in that short bio. Besides running a sugarbush and the Christmas tree farm, he worked full time for 30 years at IBM until retirement. I do not know where some people get so much energy!!!! He has a patent for a stainless steel tap that is smaller than standard taps so less damage to the trees. And yes, he was early into vacuum (needed for the SS taps) and reverse osmosis. I don't guess you'll be ordering a tree from White's Tree Farm though. I'm sure they don't ship to WY :gig

I did not know that his son had built up the maple business to such an extent. Must have his father's energy.

Too funny...for some reason "it's a small world after all" is playing in my head :)
