My concern is that Dh is a "don't rock the boat" type mentality, and would never advocate for me. On the occasions I've had to advocate for myself, he's sided against me. After all, they're the professional with the medical training, not me, so I need to be quiet, and cooperate. Sheesh!
That is when you fill out the advance directive in a very clear and thorough manner. Maybe find a friend to label as decision maker.
