Beautiful!Wow. Just wow! Found scribbled on the back of an envelope in my sister's belongings.
"Dear Father,
Today I'm going to make mistakes. Help me acknowledge and correct them. I'm going to make decisions. Help me make the right ones and honestly face the consequences if they turn out to be wrong. I will become angry. Help me diffuse that anger. The pain is going to be overwhelming at times. Help me stay on top of it. The fears are going to be strong. Help me overcome them.
I didn't expect to have this day, Father, but You gave it to me anyway. Don't let me waste it. And should today turn out to be the end of my earthly life, support and comfort my family the way they have supported and comforted me.
Your loving and grateful daughter,
Linda"

Beautiful!
Reminds me of a prayer papa wrote in his bible before he passed...![]()
that isn't a wild duck. It is a muscovy. So it is someone's duck that flew off... or a feral duck. This duck was sitting just like this, just outside my patio. It's been hanging around all day. It's wild. Later on, I put a bit of chicken feed over away from my coop, but it didn't try to eat any of it. Much later, Dh and the grandkids discovered it was out there. Dh seems to think we need to care for it. He thinks it's a female. He put some plywood on the trailer bed, and hay underneath to give it shelter, and a place to nest. He, and the kids tossed some bread to it, which is how I know it's not tame at all. It wouldn't come near anyone, even for bread. Yes, I know too much bread is not good for them. I'm not sure it's healthy tho. I don't want it giving something to my chickens. It doesn't appear to be injured, but it walks off if someone tries to get close. It doesn't seem to have much energy. I guess, if it's here tomorrow, I'll put out a water bucket, and a feed dish.
I don't know very much about ducks. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

gotcha. Oh right! You are in Florida! Thanks Al. I know it's a muscovy, but they have tons of wild muscovies here, or maybe the term is feral, but down here everyone just call the feral ones wild, since there are so many of them. No, this one does not belong to anyone, never has.
