My leukemia's back.

DD #1 and grandkids spent the night last night. We got up early this morning, got gussied up a bit, and headed to Wesley Chapel. My cousin's church sponsors a huge Easter egg hunt at one of the malls there, and she wanted us to go. A couple other cousins met us there too. We all had a great time, and all that running around for eggs helped burn off some of that extra energy the kids always have. Afterwards, we all went to Cracker Barrel. It was a great time for everyone.

Every few years, I go to visit family in Zephyrhills. been to Wesley Chapel, and even Cracker Barrel! I always try to schedule my trip for when the U-Pick strawberry fields are open.

Good morning, Team! It's another beautiful Wyoming spring day - freezing rain, snow and high winds in the forecast. I checked the calendar - summer is supposed to arrive on August 10th this year, followed by fall on August 11th.

My MIL always says: "If summer happens on a Saturday, we go on a picnic."

Spring has officially arrived here. Saw 2 groundhogs Saturday. Still lots of snow on the ground. 50* today, I was out working without a jacket!

:ya Me too! I have fired up the incubator ... test running... I am collecting eggs. ...

What are you going to incubate?

for this first run I am going to do only my bantams. My Ameraucana bantams are laying well! :celebrate Those will be purebred chicks... but the other girls in that pen are a bit of a disappointment. :idunno

I had wanted to make green egg layers.. but my three brown egg laying bantams are either 1. laying almost nothing (I have gotten 1 brown egg), or 2. have decided that cream is the new brown.

Seriously... which hen is laying the cream eggs?

In the pen I have ( bantam hens) 3 Ameraucana- so blue eggs, 1 leghorn- white eggs, 1 d'anver-white eggs, 1 blue Wyandotte- brown eggs, 2 Rhode Island Reds-brown eggs.

Soooooo... over the last 4 days I have collected 6 pretty blue eggs, 2 chalk white eggs, 1 brown egg, and 4 cream colored eggs.

Sooooooo.... who is laying what?
Happy Hatching!

We need that person here. Many people can't bother to get the carts to the corral even when it is only 1 or 2 spaces over. If you can push through the store and out to the car when it is full, you SURELY can take it to a corral when it is empty. AND, you might notice there are often many more carts in the corrals and strewn through the parking lot than there are in the store, TAKE ONE IN WITH YOU!!!

And you can't because .......

We all need to send @Blooie some real eggs. Or Katie needs to get chickens.
I can see it now, sign in front of Blooie's house when she starts getting dozens of eggs in the mail every day: "Fresh (at least they were when they were shipped) Eggs, $2.50/dozen
It's a sugar thing.. I think...not diabetes, but I have Hypoglycemia. It's weird what I can eat, or not eat. But I know!

I'd love to, but with all the snow we've had this winter, there's no way they would catch fire. Still anywhere from 12 - 24" of snow on ground and on piles. They are a sodden frozen mess right now. And, there's as much soil rock mixed in as there is wood. The guy who did our earth work left us with a horrid huge mess to clean up. I can't imagine we will ever get those piles taken care of.
