I dont have any livestock any more. Lost my goats to predators chickens too. I retired my horse hopefully temporarily to a farm owned by my feedstore owner. When I bring her home I will either have a Donkey Companion or a Llama companion for her. I know I can trim LLama hoofies. Same goes for Goats... they make good companions but I have to change the fencing to have them again.
I do have plans drawn for a new poultry house secure and bullet resistant. Which will have housing for the companion animal or Goats.
I already have the materials except the fencing.

They are good at protecting the goats... The chickens will be housed in an all metal poultry house. With hot wire fortification. There will be no chicken wire only Ten gauge aviary panels. Between the chickens will be chainlink. Any outside ventilation or windows will be Aviary panel Over Chainlink....What about woodchucks, coons and foxes? Of course if I had a "guard donkey" it wouldn't be housed with the chickens so no help if a coon gets into the barn.
There are places you can't have biting fences??Fences that bite are great if allowed in the area
I can understand barbed wire, but not the electric. I feel someone is far more likely to get inured with barbed wire. (This may be the voice of experience speaking...)Yes, suburbs mostly - can't even have barbed wire
