My leukemia's back.

Went to see the Neuro I've been waiting to see for a while! Finally, the big follow up after my hospital stay. My breathing.. thinks it's a mechanical thing. ?? Not anxiety. Had a lot of blood drawn... In the meantime I'm having a CT too for something. He spent a good hour and a half in there with me. Really thorough examination. Said my lower legs are definitely not right with the testing he was doing on me, and of course how I walk, like a drunk, with twisted leg walking.. But here's what he's thinking....Occipital neuralgia, puriphial neuropathy, Myelopathy, and possible low B12 and low copper in my body. What? Had a lot of blood drawn today. Will have a CT done. If blood work doesn't come back with what he is thinking, then another MRI, of the upper spine and neck area. Doesn't think it's MS at this point.

Well, I sure like the fact that it looks like it isn't MS. And the complete work up is always good!

Not sure about the rest of that.

Al, I had no idea and I'm sorry for your loss. I understand your dad was quite a handful the past little while, but that doesn't make it any easier. Deepest sympathies to the family. have a safe trip back home when the time comes.

And yes LS, he was truly a problem while sick, which is why it was even more touching, and perhaps needed, to hear so many people say so many good things about him.

Been a kinda somber month. So here ya go - Jen sent me this from Kendra’s PT at school today.

She's got her feet relatively straight, is she wearing the torsion braces? I didn't see anything that looked quite that substantial.

Yep. She’s in torsion braces. But they are a slightly different type. These are stiffer at the hips, as you can see by how extremely her body has to swing with each step. These are just as risky for her, though, so instead of wearing them all the time she gets brief periods with them.
