My leukemia's back.

My eldest boy..... getting dressed as a Sub-deacon by the metropolitan.

Both spouse and I cried. That hotel.... very dusty place. :old

And eldest, a new sub-deacon (the black outfit is his inner cassock, you wear that under the fancy stuff..... this is right after the service) is writing cards to hand out to people to ask them to pray for my dad. Youngest is watching. I guess that might sound odd, to pray for the dead.... but we do, especially for the first 40 days.

What a wonderful moment for your family Al!

Ahh..yours sounds like you have a misplaced crystal. Easily fixed. I didn't know if those were for real, until I went to the ENT and found out. Did a simple procedure, and, yep, fixed. Look it up on the net.
Not pulling my leg! Yep, looked it up. I have had this specific "can't lay down flat on my back" thing for decades.

The first step of "the fix" (Canalith repositioning procedure) is:
"Step 1. First you move from a sitting to a reclining position with your head turned to the affected side by 45 degrees. Your health provider will help extend your head over the edge of the table at a slight angle."
That will be lovely. Laying flat on my back is bad, laying on my back with my head tilted back is :sick

Yeah, dust will do that to you. Makes you sneeze too. ;)

Congrats to DS #1.

Have I mentioned how much I love those boys!?! Congrats #1 on such an impressive achievement! :clap

Also, I don't think praying for the dead is weird at all. My family always prays for those who've passed to have an easy transition & to feel at peace knowing those who have been left behind will be taken care of. I believe that when I die I will have a difficult transition worrying about the kids. Will they be ok? Are they grieving too hard? etc... etc... I know my sister & others will be standing on the other side convincing me that all is well, but I know I wont want to go. Talk about the ultimate helicopter parent .

I never had to ..hang..my head off the edge of the table. The ENT did the procedure like shown in most videos..but my head was just at the top of the table. It was my left ear. When he started this to check me, I had seen the videos, thought, no, I don't have that problem but he can check! Right ear, fine. I knew it. Then for the left year. All these years I have been telling drs..I'm not dizzy, I'm woozy, hard to explained. Well, when he did the left side, I said, Now That's Dizzy!! The wall was spinning. He fixed that, but said, I don't think this will fix your equallibrium problem. He was right. Shoot!
