My leukemia's back.

I did not accept it as fact. I said I didn't know how much of it was true. I had difficulty accepting that a governor would let his state burn down. We've had drought years, and similar type fire issues, as you're having there. Yes, too many want to play the blame game, when it's clearly the lack of rain that's the biggest problem, and no one can be blamed for that.

I agree Ron. And once a false statement is made it gets repeated as fact without fact checking then becomes a "fact" in the minds many people. And they repeat it as such and it snowballs.

Much of CA is sort of screwed weather wise. Long periods without rain which make fires possible then it rains enough to get the brush growing only to have no rain and it dries out, ready for the next spark. Doesn't happen in places that usually get a reasonable amount of rain through the year, and pretty much every year.
Yes!

There is also a blight that has killed millions of trees here. The dead trees create a huge fire danger

The funny thing is that Brown has a ranch that is in line of the fire now.

Brown's response was through his Staff: This does not warrant a response

Brown is termed out so is not up for re election. I will be happy to see him go because he has been terrible for education

There is an advisory to stay indoors this week.

We are not too bad right now. Yesterday was unhealthy though. This is the current air quality

I was reading something about water restrictions there, and the governor not lifting them to allow the use of the extra water needed to put out the fires. Not sure how much of it is true, but if that's the case, you guys need a new governor come election time.
there is pleanty of water ..... for fire fighting.... The forrests are almost dead beetle damage from the drought....

I wasn't targeting you with my comment GaC, sorry to not be clear. It was a general comment for what seems all too common these days. Doesn't matter how unrealistic the "claim" may be, there are people who don't bother to fact check something that seems unlikely.
Yep... His comments have me convinced...

"Better to keep your mouth shut and thought a fool than open your mouth and remove all doubt. " I am talking about wingnut not anyone here... and the quote is from a president or some one famous....

I'm glad they caught as many as they did. Praying that they don't get off easy with just a little hand slap. These people are killers. And for the ones that escaped into the woods, wouldn't it be nice if they stumbled through a few black berry and poison ivy thickets, as well as a few deer beds infested with ticks.
I just found out one of my old little league players wad just busted.... and is facing life in prison.
He had 8 oz of meth..... an oz of heroin and a bunch of prescription drugs.
I feel sorry for him as he never had a chance growing up.
But it was all for not.... Derrick is back in business.
Cars coming and going all day and night..... maybe I should have taken the cops advice and burned the place down.
