My leukemia's back.

You going to keep that story going all winter Bruce?
Only until I'm told on the forums that it isn't lint after all ;)

Actually, once I get the yard mowed one more time to pick up all the leaves that blew down on Saturday, i will be OK if we got some of the white stuff. Just not ready for a "lint" storm to accumulate as the vacuum cleaner has not been put on the tractor yet. DH is still putting it together, lol.
Same here. Will mow the lawn when it gets cold enough I have to pack up the hose that goes to the animals automatic waterers. Then it will be time to take the deck off and start setting up for the lint blower.

Could be poultry dust.... my birds are still molting.
Mine too. Some have finished some are just starting, some haven't started yet.

Just those nasty Japanese Beetles.
Are you talking about Japanese Beetles

or Asian Beetles?

Asian on the right, native ladybug on the left.

No, it is just that this "conversation" has happened before on one of the forums - deja vu!! Soon as you got stink and bite in there I became suspicious that the beetle you were talking about wasn't the one I think of when one mentions Japanese Beetles. Those things are a royal pain in the garden. These little ones are not.

So I will post the same as I have done before - thankfully the asian beetles AKA asian lady bugs up here neither stink nor bite! We tend to get them in the house starting this time of year. DD1 puts something sweet or a drop of milk or something on a small plate when she finds one. We call them her pets. Funny to watch them running around the edge of the plate.

They did a whole big write up about the little nasties a couple of years ago in the local newspaper. Don't know how Missouri got to be so blessed but we seem to have more than our fair share of them.

We also have a bug called an emerald tree borer that is another nasty.

Is that 'Japanese Beetle' pictured the same as a June Bug? Sorta kinda looks like a common June bug that we have around here. Or at least a variety of them.
