My leukemia's back.

They did a whole big write up about the little nasties a couple of years ago in the local newspaper. Don't know how Missouri got to be so blessed but we seem to have more than our fair share of them.

We also have a bug called an emerald tree borer that is another nasty.

Is that 'Japanese Beetle' pictured the same as a June Bug? Sorta kinda looks like a common June bug that we have around here. Or at least a variety of them.
that beetle is bigger... about the lenght of a quarter... they used to come in baled in the hay... crack open a flake and out would fly one of the green beetles. We used to catch em and tie a horse hair aroudn ther neck then fly them on the string.... :gig

Scarab beetle or Fig Eater beetle totally harmless.

Good morning team Rachel. :) I see that some of you been experienced some light...... Flakes ... falling in your area. We got a lot of rain today. Some snow on the mountains, it's beautiful. Still waiting for a baby to come. She's been dilating a bit, so it won't be long. She's been experiencing some things. Wandering if she will make it to the 31st. Hope not! :) Man, we had three nice pumpkins taken from our steps today, well probably just after Dark. We don't usually get this kind of thing around here. Someone must have really needed some pumpkins. DH has been going through a lot of tests. Including the driving test... He passed the written! Going on Thursday for his driving. All I can say is, I know this is going to sound mean, but not meant to be, hoping he is having kind of an off day. He really should not be driving. He is on another med along with what he's been on. Neurologist did this. Going in for a sleep test Mon. Has to get up early..be awake at least 4 hrs before his appt. at 8 in the morning. He had open heart surgery years ago.. mitral valve...so had an ultra sound and other tests today to see if he is getting sufficient blood to the brain. Had an EKG. That surgery has done well! 2002 was when it was done. ... Change of subject Blooie may be interested.. Last I came on, asked for prayers for Richard. Was having a hard time with a UTI. He's over it. :) Went somewhere in SLC to a YouTube gathering of some sort. He's big with that, in a lot of fun youtube videos with some great singers. Here is a photo of him with some youtubers.

Morning Team Rachel.

Overslept this morning.:caf I've been doing a lot of that lately. The folks at the Old Folks Home know but two months ago I was diagnosed with three different types of inflammatory/progressive arthritis. Osteo, borderline Rheumatoid and then a month later Anklyosing Spondelitits. Several weeks ago I was informed I also have Osteoporosis in my hips and spine along with bone thinning. It answered a lot of questions for me including why I have been suffering so much joint pain lately and not feeling well. I started giving myself shots of Methotrexate two months ago and they have helped me immensely but I tend to tire very easily and sleep a lot at night.

I keep praying that the shots continue to help me so I don't have to go on a biologic. As it is now I have to wear a mask while cleaning the coops.

@Cynthia12, hope things work out for the best for your husband. I know what a tough position you are in. We recently lost a dear friend who had Parkinson's disease and suffered a fall that killed him. It happens so fast at times.

Thanks @N F C.

If there is one thing I've learned reading Rachel's thread, it's to 'be strong'. That's why I stopped by yesterday other than to say hi to everyone.

GREAT support team at work here.

With Faith, Hope and Love, all things are possible. I may wind up in a wheelchair some day but I won't give up....ever!

Your last comment is like the quote I shared yesterday on the Quotes & Thoughts thread:

None of us knows how our stories will end, but with support, it's easier to be strong.
