Pssst, come a little closer Phil.I know exactly why things ended up they way they did.... And who to blame.
Little things like leukemia and my wife's ten year trip to rock bottom didn't help.
another problem is the other Dr. might not have believed that H. pylori causes ulcers. It has not been long since it was announced as the standard and many Dr.s are resistant to new methods that proved they were completely wrong about a condition. My daughter's new doctor called. The test results came in, and she's still got H. Pylori. Her GI doctor didn't prescribe correctly, nor follow up, and her old PCP didn't either. She's on Pylera for 10 days, and on the 10th day, has an appointment to go back to her doctor, and be tested again, because she may need several courses of treatment. Testing won't take as long now, since the doctor has everything set up for their office to do the testing now. I am so relieved this doctor has really gone to bat for her, and is actually addressing the situation.
