My leukemia's back.

Speaking of body disposal, my husband is getting on my last nerve. He's been off work all weekend. It's been raining, windy, and cold. He's going through John Deere withdrawal, because he hasn't really been able to putter around on it the whole weekend. He's cooped up, and doesn't know how to keep himself entertained. He's been whining, moaning, and groaning about it all weekend. Thank goodness he goes back to work tomorrow night. If not, I'd be suggesting he go play with his chainsaw.
Instead of the man flu he has the man depression. lol

Alaskan can't your mom come out when it is "Alaskan summer?" No snow! Doesn't she miss you, spouse and grand sons?
Yep.

She does plan on coming up now only in the summer and early fall I think.

Or.... something like that.

She did come up for 3 weeks early fall this year as soon as she finished packing up my dad's office.

He is the youngest of my Dad's full brothers. Dad was born in 1936 but had MS. Many people with MS die early with heart issues because that cannot move as much as they should. Dad died in 2001.

My Dad's Youngest half sister is two years older than me. We grew up more like Cousins.

I did not visit the ER! She works at Redding Medical Center? That is an area Trauma center so would be quite busy for an ER Doctor.

I have switched over to LEDs at my place. My Mom has not though. I like The LEDs a lot
LEDs are the way to go..... Bright and barely use any electricity..... My electric bill can got up to$400 a month..... But by doing simple things like converting to all LED lighting and changing my pump to 220 voltage I've dropped it to half that.....

Lights are very important in winter!

The different colors are also important for egg production and Cock bird fertility. There are studies about them with hens and broilers too.

LEDs can come in a lot of colors. The ones I bought for my Mom are a daylight color-- slightly on the yellow side
I was over a friends Log Cabin in the woods the other day..... He had Blue and Red LEDs over some clones he's was trying to start.... Seemed like they worked very well..... His plants were all about 6" tall and very strong looking....

Or are you paying for deferred maintenance because they couldn't get rate increases through the Public Service Board (or whatever it is called in Calif) to pay for them in the past?

I know that the rates in CA are tiered based on usage, don't know what an "average" bill is.
Here we pay:
$0.457 per day for being connected
$0.15668 per kWh
$0.01413 per kWh for the Efficiency Vermont program
$1 for Electric assistance program to help low income people pay their power bill.

We typically run around 600 kWh/month so the bill would be $116.74 if we didn't have the solar panels.
Most LEDs won't make much of a noticable dent in your bill......I was reading a book of Xmas tree lights and they said you could strong on 90 sets in series.... To equal 240 Watts...... That's crazy..... We have a ton of lights this year.... I'm leaving them on 24/7 and it's bright in here..... Love Christmas... HO HO HO......

Checked with DW. She didn't know her father's mother either though age wise it would have been possible, she was a lot younger than DW's grandfather. However, the grandmother died in 1953 and my MIL never met her either. So we can make a blanket statement that EVERYONE would have known both their in-laws, right! :lau
I was able to know all six of my grandparents.... But I met my dad real dad later in my youth...I was probably 10... I remember going to his place once for Thanksgiving it was fun.... But for some reason that relationship fell apart... Not sure why my dad reached your to find his real dad but he did... And the strain it put on his relationship with Grandma wasnt good.
Not sure who walked out on who... But I think alcohol was involved.

With all the plant lights on 10 hours a day and encircling where I work on the computer, they have done nothing to reduce depression. MY BYC friends get the credit for that.
Different type of light....SADD lights are amped up versions of grow lights.....I have one in my wife's lamp.....I think it helps but it's a subtle difference.... Kinda slow over time....
