So sorry Sour.....So I'm a bit down and hopefully unloading will help. I have a friend (heavy ex user of chewing tobacco) who developed cancer of the larynx. He was given chemo and put into remission for several years. Well it came back a bit ago metastasized to his bones. Treatment had been going okay, but a recent fall and bone/muscle damage have resulted in a major 'attack' on the part of the cancer. Spoke to him today, and he has not given up the battle but is starting to make plans for relocating some of his dogs. I told him that I would raise, start and train a litter of pups with the optimistic outlook that they would eventually be returned to him. I'm not optimistic.![]()
I know buddy.... I'm only 55 and lost several friends. Thanks, 'Al', I put off this phone call as long as I could."The worst part of getting old is not the physical infirmities it's the fact that so many of the people that you care about have already died." That's a quote from my Mom many years ago. I didn't fully grasp the total meaning then, but now it has become my new reality.
Thanks Pil!I know buddy.... I'm only 55 and lost several friends.
It's sad to think of how much life was lost to the younger ones.
When I was very young a young boy I was friends with died from childhood leukemia.
Then there were several suicides and accidents.
All those years..... And now a I'm getting older they are starting to go one here anywhere there.... Keep up the good fight sour. For your friends sake.
Miracles do happen every day.... Trust me.
I should have been one of the fallen on more than on occasion.
..... Many hugs to my friends here.
I still get tested... Not as much.SIL got word back cancer free now, but you all know a few more years of testing
I know and I'm not trying to be the guy who says all the nice things just to make someone feel better or give false hopes. Thanks, Phil, my friend is a fighter, but reality is reality, and sometimes it sucks.
We have a winners stake at the beagle club tomorrow, and he will be conspicuous by his absence.
that is promising!I thought I might post this here. This looks like it has potential.
