Sometimes being outside among strangers is safer than being with family. I was born on one of my uncle’s birthday. Took years in my adult life to get past being his ‘special birthday gift’.

Been thinking of Deb a lot too.....but her plate is pretty full right now so I figure I have to be patient until she is up to letting us know how everything went. I hate being patient!!

Allergy testing is not always accurate with some people, as you have begun to figure out. As well as it giving false negative results at times, when there is clearly an allergy, it will do the opposite too, and give false positives.

In Al's case I would surely go with the REALLY obvious cause/effect over the testing. Maybe kid #3 is allergic to dust mites but I can't believe there are so many dust mites in the hay that they are the cause of the asthma flare if he gets near/touches it.

The doctor said sometimes the results are odd.... which is why we want to try it a second time.

But she said maybe the dust mites ARE the only allergy, but they cause so much inflammation that his system just can't handle other allergens though he isn't truly allergic to them.

Kind of like my celiac kid who would have vomiting and diarrhea when he ate dairy... until we found out he was celiac and cut out gluten. His guts then healed and now he could live on dairy because he is just fine with it.

Anyway, it willbe very interesting to see how the second test goes.

You had the Uncle, I had the stepdad. . Yes, waiting to hear from our Deb is hard. Second day out. They have her walking a little more, if she's up to it.

Full 11 days prior.

And they do a histamine control where they put pure histamines. He super reacted to the control. And he super reacted to the dust mite spots.
But ZERO on all of the other things.

That is why it was odd.

I didn't have the issues you ladies describe, I had to deal with a parent and her siblings mental stuff. was blamed for being the cause of 3 c sections, I never caused myself or siblings to be born but it's my fault how we were born. mom's brother was mad that I didn't look like their side of the family. I guess I was supposed to have been inbreed that way I should look like mom's side because that would mean dads side is the same family right? it goes on from there

My friend Linda from way back, was molested by her minister repeatedly. She said she was a little blond Shirley Temple.

Even meds and therapy never helped her. Her husband divorced her and got the kids.
