And this girl was on eggs of 2 different ages  so the 5 eggs that need maybe 4 more days are in the incubator, 3 hatched already.

And it turns out that a few more hens were incubating too! Hatching from today to 2 weeks from now.

Forget the chicks....I’ll take the hen in the bottom shot!!
Thank you! She is from my pure bred bantam Wheaten Ameraucana pen. She has 1 dark feather on her side...and a bit of ticking on her head... but still pretty fine looking. :love

And everyone in that pen are good personality wise...so she is happily flock raising her chicks.

From what my brother tells me, yesterday was pretty much drama from one end of the day to the other. Mom got moved to the rehab wing of a nursing home on Friday. Less than 24 hours later she was pretty much hysterical, insisting that she be taken home! Feeling that you are basically being held prisoner by people who don't care whether you live or die would upset anybody, and from what I heard, that's where she was. The nursing supervisor came from their home to talk to her, and calmed her down enough that she agreed to stay put until Monday, at any rate. I'm sure that was exhausting for everybody.

Was your brother able to talk to her, and explain what was going on, before they moved her? I sure hope so. It's unsettling for an older person to be tossed around to, and fro without explanation, or assurances from loved ones. I hope he chose a decent facility for her. I'm glad she agreed to stay until Monday, and they got her settled down. That gives your brother time to go visit her, and give reassurances.
