My leukemia's back.

The teacher said that it's the teachers' policy not to send the missed work home, unless requested through the agenda, by the parent.
That is Effed up

The teacher said that once they're downgraded from mainstream, into the Tier system, it's permanent, and there is no way to move him up, or get him caught up.
Double Effed up

There seems to be a further problem with excused absences. When the office gets the doctor's note excusing the absence, and the school excuses the absence, the teachers mark it as unexcused, unless they too are provided with a copy of the doctor's note.
Triple Effed up.

I have no doubt that before it's all over, the teachers are going to get their come-uppance too.
It can't be too soon. I agree with @oldrooster, the principal, superintendent and the school board all need to hear about this ASAP and get those teachers' butts fired also ASAP. No waiting until the end of the school year, OUT and NOW. Suck back some of their retirement benefits as well, they clearly have not earned them.

While they hope we don't know this, they are aware of it, and will do whatever necessary to get things straightened out, to avoid lawsuit.
Maybe what they need IS a lawsuit.

The PCP gave her the referral for my grandson to go to the neurologist. He also gave her a note ordering that they do an IEP evaluation. An IEP evaluation is a very thorough, intense battery of tests, and they pinpoints everything to do with a child's education, potential, and capabilities. The process is moving forward.

If it comes to going to court it would seem you will have all the ducks inn a row and a very solid case...
