My leukemia's back.

On day 10, and so far it's not quite as bad as I expected. Let's hope it doesn't get any worse. I went for bloodwork today. I also turned in another handicapped parking permit request for the Dr. to sign. The last one, the (new) nurse checked the temporary box, and it was only good for 6 months. I have no idea why. This time, I filled it all out, except for where the Dr. has to sign, and her license number. When they mail it back, I'll go to the DMV, and get my handicapped permit.

I got all my ID, cards, etc. Everything is back to "normal".

Yesterday I got my hair cut. I had been letting it grow long, but with all the medical appointments, and with the way I feel afterwards, I just wasn't up to dealing with long hair. It takes more time, and effort to keep long hair looking really nice. I needed something flattering, while being quick, and easy to care for. I took a picture with me, and showed her what I wanted. She nailed it, which is very impressive.

I need a new hairstyle really bad - I really liked my haircut I had in college, but I don't have any good pictures of it. Problem is I have really thick, slightly wavey hair and no-one seems to be able to layer it properly. I ask for layers and get thinning shears ... not the same thing!
I had a couple of good haircuts when I first moved to Cheyenne, then the shop got new management and everyone left and I couldn't find out where the stylist went to. Six years later, I found a stylist who gave me the haircut I wanted and it was perfect. We moved 2 haircuts later. Haven't had a great haircut in 8 years.

That's why I said her cutting ability is impressive. It's a precision cut, which I've worn before, but could never find anyone here that could cut it properly. I've used my current hairdresser for 3 years now. She's always done a great job, so I decided to let her tackle this cut. I was pleasantly surprised.

Bruce, either later on, or tomorrow I'll post a pic.

Sorry I didn't get a pic. Dd #2 came by yesterday evening, and stayed late. We decided we'd all go to the organic farmer's market this morning. It sprinkled all day. While we didn't get totally soaked, we did get wet multiple times. For some reason, getting wet multiple times does not help the hair look it's best.

When we got home, Dh was in the pool, rain and all. There was no lightning, just a nice gentle soaking rain all day long. We got so tired after the market, none of us went swimming with him. We all took a nap. Even the kids got a bit of a nap in. I've picked out several fruit trees I want to get there. The only reason I didn't get some today, is because the ground here is totally saturated. Take out a shovel full of dirt, and it fills with water.
I'll wait until it's dried out a bit.

We learned about aquapontic gardening. Very interesting. It seems much more reasonable than hydropontics.
