My leukemia's back.

That's one (of the many) things I appreciate about DH...he just says you want ducks? Get ducks. You want more chickens or geese? Get them. He'd have a whole zoo if we could, lol. I'm the one that has to be practical about stuff like that and slow things down.

Now, I don't want to rub rock salt on anyone's ice, but I thought I'd share how bad the weather was here in Northern Wyoming today.

1000

I should add that along with these gorgeous temps we had nothing but sunshine all day. Yep, good to live here in the Rocky Mountains of Northern Wyoming!

It was gorgeous here today too! We spent a good part of the day out cleaning up the old garden, burning stuff, watering a few things, playing with the chickens, adding more sand to their run and just enjoying being outside in general. Not too hot, not too cold, a breeze and no bugs! yay

Well NorthFLChick I kinda want a zoo...My wife says no but then really doesn't mind. That's why I tease and say they might appear...And Blooie...They say it's going to be 70 here tomorrow...Yay!...imagine go from frozen hose one day to 70 the next...guess God wants me to finish my painting...

My lungs have started that whole"I don't want to breathe"thing for the winter again. I hope it's not as miserable as last year.
I've restarted my regiment of inhalers (spiriva, symbicort and proventil),pills(singulair, allegra, prednesone) and I'll set up my nebulizer later.
Maybe someday I'll learn my lesson and move south. But I won't let a little asthma so me from living.Supposed to be real nice today. I know that there is a paint brush waiting....And an evening fishing trip planned. Could really stand a nice catch of walleyes for dinner.
Blooie I saw your hummingbird pics today. I have two feeders here and them little guys keep me entertained all summer.
I think it's funny how I'll fill the feeder up and they will land on it while I'm trying to rehang it.
I was actually able to save one that flew into my wood shed this year. I was able to gently grab him and carry him outside and release him.I think he was real exhausted .

Feeding and photographing hummingbirds has become a real passion for me. My yard is certified as a National Wildlife Habitat by the National Wildlife Foundation, due in large part to the hummers we have here. I usually end up with about 11 feeders going during the height of the season! Great that you were able to save one. Exhaustion comes on them quick....

I don't do all 11 of them at one time. The ones on the north side get rinsed and filled one day, those attached to windows get done the next, etc. I don't fill them very full, either. It's a waste to dump so much food down the drain every few days that I just started putting a couple of inches worth in each feeder. It's a labor of love, my friend!
