My leukemia's back.

Blooie, that's a great idea to use Vick's in the wax warmers! I've seen so many of those little warmers I like but never have bought one because I can't stand scented candles (they're one of several things that give me headaches and congestion).

Most candles are made from petroleum so when you burn them, they put toxins in the air.

Use Soy or beeswax candles.

any perfumed anything and I am gasping.
Boy scout award ceremonies were a dreaded thing for me. They used so many candles. I would be covered in hives and gasping by the time it was over.

Nope, I can't stand strong smells...not candles, perfumes, air fresheners, perfumed dryer sheets, soap, lotion...none of that stuff. Even getting on an elevator with some people that like to douse themselves in cologne or walking through the make-up department of a store will mess me up. I just can't tolerate stink!

My Mom is the same way. She is a retired school teacher and once an Aid was wearing perfume. Mom asked her to not wear perfume because it made her choke. The Aid thought that wearing less would be ok. Mom had to tell her that any perfume would make her choke....Please do not wear perfume around me!

That reminds me of one of the VP's where I used to work. I could always tell when she had walked down the hallway before me because I could still smell her even if I couldn't see her. Kind of helped tip me off if she was lurking around.

Oh yeah I have a big Honeywell HEPA filter...I always worked with petroleum and chemicals all my life too. First it was jet fuel (that's where the leukemia came from) then automotive dust etc..
I'm pretty sure that's where the COPD came from.

I was outside cleaning out the little rock pond we have and I started to feel real funny. So I came in thinking I needed lunch. I just looked in the mirror.
My face is swollen. Just when the Bahia grass stops making me choke, something else pops up that does this.

I just don't know.
I don't itch, I can breath... I guess I will go back out and keep on cleaning.
Phil, If you want to trade out You and your wife can have summers here and we can have s summers there. you can enjoy your winter up there though.

I think it's "sisters from different misters" and "brothers from different mothers"

But whatever, I think you could be right!

Yeah Phil, if you want a real "treat", come spend summer in FL.

I feel like a jerk when I go to visit someone, and they have their house all spiffed up, and a nice candle burning, and it may even smell good. But, I have to ask them to put the candle out, so I can breathe!

Sometimes, at church, I have to get up and move b/c of someone wearing perfume. The 2 worst offenders: My MIL and DD! I still have to work on DD to not wear perfume when she's riding in the car with me.
