My leukemia's back.

Rachel...what is your current dose of prednisone..I always notice at high doses it would mess with my head too.
It tended to make me an A..hole.
I assume the liver function improving is because off smoldering GvsH in your liver. That was the one place I had GvsH for years. In fact they think I still may have alittle still 18 years later.
My bone marrow transplant anniversary is coming up next week ...(never thought I'd be here today)...I only take 10 mg a day of prednisone at this time for my lungs and it doesn't seem to effect me too much.
I'm pretty sure 18 years from now you'll probably be on some forum sharing your thoughts with somebody like you are now.
My wife finally made it to the dentist to get that absessed tooth removed...she lost 25 lbs she was already skinny looks real bad now. Hopefully she can put it back on plus some. I told her I want some meat on her bones for a change....Phil

I'm on 50mg a day right now. They'd wanted to make it 100, but I balked. Just too, too much imo.

I don't know what's going on with the liver. Right after transplant I had crazy high spikes in my numbers. Got folks all excited and they wanted to biopsy, etc. Well, they held off on that and monitored and they just steadily resolved back down to normal-ish, where they've been until the last month or so. Not near as high a spike this time, but enough to treat with the steroids. No new meds that would have irritated the liver, in fact I'm off all the antifungals that usually wreck havoc with that poor organ. No one's mentioned the liver is gvh, but that doesn't mean it isn't.

About the pork flavored chicken--that would be great! I've tried feeding the layers tomatoes, onions and peppers for years to get salsa flavored eggs. No joy.

arugula has a strong bacon-ish flavor. I bet it would flavor the eggs if you fed them enough.
If my girls were still young enough to lay, It might be worth the experiment.

If what they ate made an impact on the egg flavor, mine would taste like sunflowers and meal worms.

My girls are cleaning up the garden now. I gave them a head start, took about 9 WB loads of debris out. Some went in the HK mound, some in the run. Getting ready to convert the garden to BTE. They're having a blast with the sunflowers. Yesterday, I heard a ruckus, and looked in the garden, one of the sun flowers (about 8' tall) was leaning at a 45* angle. Perched half way up the stalk was a chicken, trying to figure how to get up to the seed heads! Today, I knocked it the rest of the way down. Why is it that when I give them good treats that Jack comes marching onto the scene and gets all puffed up and proud of himself, claiming that HE'S the one who supplied the treats???

Because, my dear, Jack is a male. Yup! That's why when I have something I want to do, I just plant the seed in Ken's head and shut my mouth. Then later on he'll come strolling by and suggest the same thing that I did. I just look at him, smile big, and in my best southern belle accent (which I learned in Mississippi) I say, "Oh, sugah! You're so clev-ah!"
