My little niece Ashley has the same problem when she's on steroids....the pressure in her eyes goes way up. It started with her very first round of Chemo back in January and her very smart pediatric oncologist had actually been checking for it regularly because he's seen it so many times before. It responds very well to treatment, though. Now with every new round, her eyes are monitored as soon as treatment starts.Hard to beat pancakes...my wife went down to the local restaurant today to help her friend who owns it out.
She brought me home liver and onions for dinner....total treat for me she hasn't made me liver and onions in years....she hates it...here's the deal Rachel....I went in for an eye exam...haven't had one in 20 years. Fully expected it to go well.....I feel I see good......well seams I have significantly high eye pressures.
So now seams I might have glaucoma.
But after I told him I take prednisone now he feels is caused by the prednisone...another thing you should be aware of..... The good news is my ocular nerves are intact and good shape so I have to go back for a check in 6 , months.I guess my word for you is be aware that prednisone can cause this"induced" glaucoma symptom anyway.
Prednisone is a wonderful miracle drug that I needed to breathe better. But definitely has some wide ranging side effects.
One good note. Being in Iron Mountain at the VA hospital today had one advantage. I was able to call the Marquette office and get my pain med prescription fixed and pick it up in person at the pharmacy. They ship it out from Iron Mountain.
The pharmacy tech who fixed it her name was Candy. Over the phone they said "just go to the pharmacy and ask for"Candy" (they all laughed in the background)".
Being on pain meds sucks...but without then I'm pretty crippled up. Then there's the slight panic that happens when you realize your going to run out.
Avoid it if possible...just sometimes it's a fact of life for some of us.
That looks great! Funny how "normal" we feel when we can go to the sink and turn the handle on a faucet! This is the first house we've ever had where the kitchen window opened onto such beautiful view so I don't mind standing there washing up a few dishes. I have a dishwasher, but I never wash plastic bowls or pots and pans in it. Prefer to do those by hand. Besides, my dishwasher is only 18" wide!FLIES!!!I thought it was due to our floor being cut and left open for days for the bleach and kilz to dry.....But Sunday, DH bought 2 fly swatters and those nasty fly strips and we got over 40 flies that same night. The worst is when you are trying to sleep and one over achiever fly keeps BUZZZZZZZing and BUZZZZZZZing, just as soon as you are almost asleep

DH said yesterday while I was at work the foreman of the construction crew was barking out orders at the crew and accidently backed into one of the fly stripsand it got stuck in his hair! I would've loved to have been a fly on the wall and seen that!!! LOL!!! The crew got a big laugh out of it.![]()
