My leukemia's back.

Blooie, you post about that brave little girl all you want!

I've been hospitalized for neutropenia and neutropenic fever throughout this ordeal. Neutropenic just means her white count, especially neutrophils (ANC) is below usually 500 and she is at high risk for infection. Yep, it can be scary, but they have such high powered antibiotics now and such good supportive care to get little bodies through this, it shouldn't be too big a blip for her. Sounds like she's already responding and doing better, right? The power of prayer, and God working through medical personnel. It's an amazing thing.

Was out of town today, Big Boy had a bowling tournament an hour north today and we left early, home late-ish. Honey brought pizza for dinner, bless his heart.

Thanks, Rachel! How did Big Boy do?

Very unremarkable

. He's new to bowling and this was their first tournament. He's still in that finding out you have to practice to get better stage, he just expected to be good at it and I think was shocked it doesn't come naturally to him.

I was disappointed, I was gong to hit the Goodwills in this town, I've heard good things about the stores there. But, being Sunday, they were all closed. So, I spent most of the day sitting in the van, finishing my book and crocheting. Good thing it's a comfy van

. The bowling alley was just too noisy and crowded, although I was in and out periodically. But I could never see what he was doing, so it was kind of pointless. Crocheting and listening to KLOVE is more my style.

Sounds like a perfect way to spend a day, IMO, as long as you were able to stay warm. And coming home to a ready meal... priceless!

Hey Rachel question....have you ever had issues with Vertigo since your transplant?
I have and it seems to be bad right now. I think it's inner ear damage but I'm not sure...they've never really figured it out. (Good thing I checked first my auto correct would have led you to believe I had inner rear damage and I don't know how I'd have explained that one!!!)

Phil, every once in a while My migraines will take the form of an inner ear problem.
Apparently vestibular migraines are pretty rare, but as my doctor says, "Rare means rare not non existent."Try some ibuprofen and take it easy- get out of the cold and stop wrestling with mechanics, see if it helps.

Love your avatar, Phil!

No vertigo here, thankfully.

Do any of you creative types have a good idea for something to use as pegs on a hat rack besides wooden pegs/dowels? We have a simple coat rack in our hallway that's basically a 2x4 with wooden pegs mounted at an angle to hang coats from. I want to put a similar rack above it (the coat rack is low, like waist height) for hats, but I'd like to do something cuter or more creative than wooden pegs. I thought about using bent silverware but that seems weird for hats. I also don't want anything sharp as they'll be at eye-ish level. The hats are my crocheted beanie types and baseball caps, so the pegs don't need to be very long, just 2 inches or so. Or some type of hook? I'm drawing a blank on something to put up there that will look nice.
