So, the travel plans are a no-go. My Mom actually called and asked us not to come, the weather there is too nasty. It was hard to agree, but it's not worth dying for. or wrecking my pretty van

. So, I'm putting together dinner for us here. Honey has to work until 6:30 tomorrow, so dinner will be late.
I'm thawing a turkey
will make sausage and apple dressing

baked yams
green bean casserole
rolls
pumpkin pie
apple pie.

I'm working on some of these today, the rest will be done tomorrow. I'll have all day, so it's no biggie.

Dr appt today. All my liver functions are back to normal except one, and it's still trending downward. So, I get to decrease my prednisone again! Talk about something to be thankful for! Now if I can just lose all this weight I've gained, with the holiday season

I've got eggs in the hatcher. some are Colombian Wyandotte, some are Marans or Marans crosses. Well, one of those Wyandotte eggs hatched out a black chick! I'm thinking she gave me the wrong egg, she also has some barred Rocks. The good news is, the Wyandotte is her only rooster, so the chick should be sex linked. It's head is solid dark, so it should be a little pullet

Hey! Weight loss programme here...I have prednisone...and a wonderful array of drugs...food seems to come secondary to medication here...well..that is until the evenings..when anything goes..laughter, music..and memories to share with wonderful friends such as you...all are welcome! Food is another matter...hit and miss...unless we all agree to go out to a restaurant...no competition then..we eat out for the sake of our future health...

Our weather here is fine, just cold. But it was sunny today and I got to get outside and get some dinking around done. Finished a lab afghan I was working on, now need to find a pattern for my next project. I only have two skeins of yarn in this color, so it's got to be a smaller project, or a very lightweight stitch. It feels good to be using up some of this yarn I've had hanging around. Echo has asked me to teach him to crochet

. He wants to make a small afghan for his gf with her horse's name stitched in it. I've never done something like that, so I've just got him working on basic stitches while I figure out how to work the lettering.
