you have been busy! Don't overdo it...enjoy your achievements...take time to sit and relax!

So, my chicks shipped out of California Tuesday night. I've been watching the tracking bar waiting impatiently for them to arrive. They were suppose to arrive Thursday by 3pm, so, I started really freaking out yesterday. How many days can baby chicks go without food and water? :barnie

This morning I am walking out the door to head to work at 7am. The phone rings & it's the post office!:weee. DD has no school today due to teacher in service. Having one good vehicle, we all pile in and head to the post office. The post office is closed, so we pull around to the back where the mail carriers are busy loading up their vehicles.

2 men walk up to our car & ask if we need help. DH says in his gruff voice "Yeah, I'm here to pick up chicks". The 2 men laugh & then one realizes what type of "chicks" he means & offers to go get them. I about died laughing!!! :lau

The chicks were super weak & could barely stand, but they've all ate and got water and are doing great now.

Glad your chicked are doing i remember worrying too heck and back my last batch of lings as they took 5 days to get to me.... But they were all good... I'll hatch my own from now on....

Hi everyone!

Got an advert to place here...

Ageing stallion...bit if an old nag to be honest! Needs some work...can do some extraordinary tasks...plumbing, electrical work, construction etc...is however reluctant to clean out the animal pens...not a fussy eater...

I would put him out to grass but he still has some work left in him...this horse (nag) can talk the hind leg off of a donkey....but once he gets the bit between his teeth he goes well!

Good to shoe, box etc...

Any offers?

I did tell him that I was going to place an advert for him if he complained any more about doing my work....

Hope you are all well! Weather here is cold and raining...I am going to light my log fire soon...cannot believe it is supposed to be Spring..

Take care!.

Hmmmmmm ......always kind of wanted a glue factory......:gig

we had a grown man that put and S on the end of most everything he said at work... keeps hands and feets outs of equipments... also one that said On It at the end of every sentence

That made me laugh out loud...so much so that three of my soggy dogs have just walked in and looked at me strangely...me laughing? Well if they leave their muddy footprints all over my dining room floor there will be double trouble for them, luckily the floors are tiled and easy to mop...their limit in the house is kitchen and dining room..my silkie chickens wander around those areas too...picking up remnants of dog food and hunting spiders...the mop is used umpteen times a day as is the disinfectant floor clean liquid...!

I was due to go out this afternoon with a friend but as it is raining I cannot risk getting my feet wet yet...so housebound again...the weather is due to get warmer next week...yippeee...

wild turkey is good in a oil less fryer!!!
I have an oil less fryer...great for chicken on the rotisserie ...don't think I'd get a whole turkey in there...one great thing about those fryers is that I cannot for the life of me burn anything in it...my speciality is burned saucepans...

I have an oil less turkey fryer..... Works great.... Yum

I managed to get out to the woodshed a few minutes ago to get the logs to start the fire...I come into the dining room to find one of my dogs standing over a dark object..my first thought was ugh...she's killed a rat and carried it into the house...no such luck...it was a donkey poop...she must have planned this while I was outside...! Poop removed and note to de worm all of my dogs this evening...keeps me on my toes so to speak! I seem to have found my sense of humour....
