My leukemia's back.

Yay!!!! .... For warmer weather hun.... Hope you get to go out soon you deserve it
I have an oil less turkey fryer..... Works great.... Yum
That must be some huge fryer you have...my fryer can just fit a chicken in it...they are brilliant though and healthy too...no added oil..I hate the smell of oil...it seems to stay in the house for ages despite the extractor fan working overtime.

Out of interest I looked up the images of a turkey fryer...enormous! My oil less fryer looks like an oversized full face crash helmet...I can't imagine having a turkey fryer in my kitchen....guess you keep them in an outhouse...great idea for christmas turkey dinner...I may look into getting one for myself...

Pics another day soon! I am so computer challenged. Idk how to post pics I take on my iPad or my daughter's tablet. My cell phone has very little memory......blah, blah, blah.....I've got pics, and will post later.

They came from Papa's Poultry. Shipped out of Redding, California. They did a great job packing them. Heat pads, straw, empty bowls where they had food, very good job packing. I ordered 9 chicks, but they don't currently have 4 Speckled Sussex I ordered, so I got 2 blue copper marans and 4 olive Eggers, and he gave me an extra crested cream Legbar girl! I am super happy with how it all turned out. I was so afraid I was going to open the box & see dead chicks. So thankful:D

So glad to hear such a good review - he is one that has been on my radar for a while now with regards to sourcing birds, that was before plans changed as far as closing out the flock here and moving back to Oregon - maybe once we get through that and are settled again I will go through him to start back up.
Hey all, been busy here!
Yesterday I got a ton of stuff done here with the birds. Re-banded almost all my babies (zip ties on the legs), moved a batch out of the pen with the light to the non-heated pen, a batch from the brooder to the heated outdoor pen, cleaned the brooder and moved the chicks from the other brooder to the clean brooder. Cleaned poop from the main coop, put out hay, set up two new nest boxes cause my broody is mean as a snake and won't let anyone near her. Re-hung feeders and raised waterers in all the other pens, gave everyone hay for bedding, set up a second nest box for my Marans ladies, just a lot of general clean up. Everyone has nice deep bedding, I gave the big littles some branches for lower roosts, feeders are higher for less waste, the pens all look so nice.

I think going to work is going to be my rest days

.

I was wrong about there being an elliptical at work, there's just two bikes. Not a big fan of bikes, especially when you're not going anywhere. I did go out for a walk on break today though.

All the boys are gone for the night, so Honey and I went out to dinner. Had prawns at McGraths, not exactly low carb but not horrible.

JWB, I hope your chicks do well. I've heard good things about Papa's, but it's been more local. That's a good ways to ship.

Goodness, I'm tired just reading about doing all that -- just remember not to push yourself too hard......good on you and your DH having a night out!
Hi everyone!

Got an advert to place here...

Ageing stallion...bit if an old nag to be honest! Needs some work...can do some extraordinary tasks...plumbing, electrical work, construction etc...is however reluctant to clean out the animal pens...not a fussy eater...

I would put him out to grass but he still has some work left in him...this horse (nag) can talk the hind leg off of a donkey....but once he gets the bit between his teeth he goes well!

Good to shoe, box etc...

Any offers?

I did tell him that I was going to place an advert for him if he complained any more about doing my work....

Hope you are all well! Weather here is cold and raining...I am going to light my log fire soon...cannot believe it is supposed to be Spring..

Take care!.

Suzie, you are on your own with that horse. I have my own mule. Stubborn as all get out! Naps all the time. Wants his back scratched all the time, no longer works, just looks pretty:D

. but it does make me want to give Honey a hug. He's so good to me.

I was looking through pictures of my Dad last night to find good ones for his memorial service. Got the sads, it's just weird knowing he's gone. Mom seems to be doing okay, but I really need to get over and see her soon. It's hard being gone from home, though. I feel there's so much to do here.

We went to a Master Gardener's plant sale this morning. Didn't buy too much plant-wise, but I got a beautiful metal rooster wall hanging. I'll have to get a pic posted, I just fell in love with it. Spent most of the day potting plants and messing with chickens. Good way to spend a Saturday!
