My leukemia's back.

66 was the high for us today. Baby chicks are discovering the lower level of the hoop coop: where all the fun is. One will jump out, or get pushed... not sure which, then the panic scream will start: "Help, I've fallen, and can't get up!" Some of the braver ones have come out to sun themselves on the ledge to the pop door. I put a bale of shavings in front of the big door to give them an extra height advantage, and put a lathe strip across from the big door to the perch in the open area. Seems to give them the confidence they need to go out and play. It's warm in that coop today. May have to take the storm window out this weekend.
I wish I could see that, LG! Talk about entertaining!

. That's right, don't mess with the redhead!

I don't like being this busy, that's for sure. Went up Wed night to see Mom, came home Thurs night. Work today....Dr appt was great. Platelets have finally broke 100 (normal is 150-300 or something like that), liver tests are still trending downward. Tapering my immune suppressants, so we'll see how the new immune system behaves itself.

So the other highlights of this last week.....
In conversation I referred to my office mate as my cellmate.
I'm pretty sure I sold a coworker a dozen eggs with a ceramic egg in there.
I got to actually ride my own horse, not sure if I told you all that.
Hatched out yet more chicks. maybe that big incubator wasn't such a good idea.

And since I live in a house with three teenage boys, I now know that (according to the Interwebz, anyway) that if you fart 57 times it burns enough calories to lose a pound.

and my Sugar Monkey texted me a bumper sticker he saw that said "So many cats, so few recipes".

Take care everyone, I gotta go work on dinner.

Love you too. I don't feel right when I don't get on here every day.

Anyone got plans for Mother's Day? I wanted to get my garden in, but I think it's still too wet.

I do get to go to the livestock auction tomorrow, though

Thank you!

Regarding the recent conversation here....we grew up with no television. Didn't get one until I was a mid-teenager. My brother and I would spend go to Grandma and Papo's on Friday nights so we could watch Dukes of Hazzard. Grandma sent us to bed cause after that she watched Dallas and that wasn't fit for children. Of course, we sneaked out and peeked down the hall....never could see what the big deal was, though. Then in the morning, not only did we get Grandma's breakfast (featuring gravy, of course!) we got to watch some cartoons. She could usually only stand an hour or so.

I was up at Mom's and she had the TV on the Game Show Network

. I forget what show it was, but it was an episode from the late 70s/early 80s. First thing out of my mouth was "Look how many clothes those girls are wearing!" Not the contestants, the prize girls. They had on long pants, elbow length sleeves and just a touch of cleavage was showing. That's how I knew it was that old!

Rachel, have a great day at the auction, and

on your progress towards normality. Well, perhaps, towards your own sort of normality.
