My leukemia's back.

Racheal how have your lungs been?
I realize you have bigger fish to fry right now but i thought i would ask.
Mine were great for a while now they are a little tight but not bad.
Hope everything calms down today for you.

Rachel, I pray God's healing hand on your son, Wisdom for the medical team, Comfort for your entire family. May God touch your son, and remove what ever is causing this issue. I pray that you will also be comforted, with only the peace that He can bring.

Thank you everyone. It's been a long night. 8 hours in the local ED, then transport to the Regional hospital and admit to Pediatrics because he's only 17. Then they decided he's not really appropriate for Peds and moved him to the IMCU. I liked Peds a lot better. This place is kind of terrifying. They're thinking a pulmonary embolus, but they can't find it in the scans. Starting a Heparin drip and I'm sure more tests later today. He finally fell asleep and I'm going to try to do the same. Thank you all for your prayers and support.

Rachel, hope things are looking better now. So sorry to hear about your boy having trouble. Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers

Thank you my friends. He is looking much better. Out of Intensive care and on the regular cardio floor. Going nuts being here but we are working on that. His breathing is better. He walked and stayed just above 90. They did a VQ scan looking for that clot. Should do lung function tests today but respiratory gave him an albuterol treatment around noon, so I don't know how that would effect things. A friend got to come visit a little and that cheered him up some. I just want to find out what was going on.

That is good news!

Sometimes you do not find out what happened. Hopefully is will not happen again though.

I woke up with Anaphylaxis when I was 3 and 9. No one knows why and it has never happened again. Both times were in the fall so it might have been seasonal or I might have been bitten by a spider or other bug. I am not allergic to to anything either.

Prayers from Ohio coming at ya! Hope everyone else is doing better today. Only 17.......poor dude. Scary if nothing else.

Thought I was done fighting off predators, at least for awhile. But I'm not. Kinda funny story. I forgot our bucket of eggs we collected Sunday evening. Left it on open side of lean to on a high shelf. Monday, DD goes out to let them out, eggs are gone. Footprints everywhere. 5 partial egg shells laying there. So, last night, I put out the hav-a-heart traps. 4am I get up to check on the chickens, step out the door take a deep breath, :sick SKUNK! I said a small prayer on my way back to the back.....please, no skunk in the trap....please! Well, thank God, the egg we had put in the cage was smashed, ate, and whatever it was, had escaped from the cage. Hoping skunks just like eggs & maybe it was an isolated incident? Anyone ever had skunks attack their chickens?
